Western has been awarded the groundworks package for new student
accommodation that is being built at Leeds University. The Charles Morris
Hall Residence will be the benchmark by which student accommodation in the
UK will be measured and will provide accommodation for over 450 students.
The work is in conjunction with principle contractor Morgan Ashurst PLC once
again and involves a full turnkey package for muck shift right through to
external works packages and has an overall completion date of the summer of
2010.
Western Civil Engineers have built a strong working relationship with the
principle contractor Morgan Ashurst PLC and have become preferred partners,
the relationship has grown through a combination of quality workmanship,
value engineering proposals, working to and beating challenging programme
deadlines as well as a having a strong proactive Health and Safety culture.
